I’ve never really been good at taking notes in class. I noticed this the other day when I was in English day dreaming about..taking notes. The notes in the dream were nice and clean. Not a doodle in sight. Then I snapped out of it, took a look at what I had on paper, and realized I had transformed from doodler of random images, to writer of random sentences. Gone were the flowers, window frames, cock & ball drawings. Replaced by sentences that made no sense. I don’t know if we can consider that evolving, but it’s definitely different. Here are some of the things I had written down in my notes:
“Gary Glitter is a little kid touching, pervert, pedophile faggot.” - My only explanation is that I’ve been watching his videos on youtube because they’re hilarious. Then after I watch each video, I have to remind myself he moved to Vietnam so he could touch little kids. Faggot. This reminds me of the time I wrote a paper on Phil Spector and I wrote “Phil Spector is a fucking faggot.” hahahaha. Ah, Music school.
“This is legit rap, I.R.S. can suck my books.” – That’s from “Holla” by Ghostface. I wrote this one during English..this was actully written in my text book. I wish I had a good reason for writing it.
“Wheelin’, & Dealin’, Kiss stealin’, Jet Flyin’…” – Ric Flair is sort of my hero. I wrote this in my math notes. You’d write weird shit too if you had to sit in the same class room with a bunch of dolts for 2 and a half hours every day.
“John Wayne was a racist.” – This is what Chuck D. told me in 1989. I was simply stating historical facts.
“Sopa de Caracol, Hey!” – That’s my Mom’s favorite song. I don’t know what the fuck I wrote that one for. Did I mention I write all of these in a sort of graffiti handstyle? It’s so I can distinguish between what I need to study and what I can ignore.
“As I float, my hunnit’ spokes iz no joke..” – I can’t tell which member of Above the Law said this, but 100 Spokes is a fucking classic song that still deserves radio play. I remember writing this one cause I was thinking about lowriders and black people all morning.
There’s a lot more, but you can get an idea of what goes on in my head daily just by reading the first one.
