another tidbit for your budding interest in women’s softball: unless their team is explicitly prefaced with “lady” (ex. lady vols of tennessee), they’re simply titled whichever mascot, and referred to as a “women’s” team (not “girls”!). you can thank title IX and the women’s suffrage movement for little idiosyncrasies like that.
