Save that shit for the Warped Tour.

 Last night I went to the Bren Events Center at the UCI Campus to watch The Mars Volta. I can’t believe it took me this long to see these guys play. It was one of the most amazing performances I have ever seen in my life. From the opening riff of “Roulette Dares” to the weird organs at the end of “Day of the Baphoments,” I had chills run throughout my whole body. I’m not sure if that was from this case of the flu that I’ve got, or a combination of Omar’s guitar and Cedcric’s voice and on stage antics (no homo). I cannot wait to see them play again. As for the new record, after a few listens I’m not sure if it’s as amazing as their previous three releases. But just like the other albums it’s probably gonna take some time to get used to. Now I’ll watch Blue Chips and go take a nap. Fuck being sick.
